Responsibilities and Achievements
- Key consultant and architect for managing a team of 4 implementing a document free process environment for Calor Gas at their Warwick headquarters(approx.: £1 million)
- Implemented an ECM system distributing 1.2 million documents per year. Interfaced with SAP and JD Edwards EMS.
- Responsible for board level relationship management. Solution architecture and implementation of Optical Character Recognition: Invoice Imaging and Data Capture for Accounts Payable for increased business process efficiency.
- Accountable and delivered training and classroom based and e-learning materials.
Formscan offer professional services to businesses worldwide for all aspects of data capture and document management workflow and archiving Working with a wide client base, I evaluated their document management and procedures, specialising in finance and account areas. As well as selecting and installing a suitable solution from a broad portfolio of products. I manage the UAT, training and communications. Projects are based both nationally and internationally with roll-outs at both management and end user levels. I spent eight months in 2005/6 working onsite at Calor Gas in Warwick. There we developed 2 integrated workflow systems for the finance and mail-room departments. The finance department’s system included auto validation of invoices and web based verification / authorisation whilst the mail-rooms yearly 1.2 million paper documents required extensive management to insure the correct indexing. Now in use across 400 UK Calor centres the project was deemed a great success and a reference site for Formscan.
